TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The first day of the 2015-2016 school year for Leon County Schools (LCS) is in a few weeks, and LCS is asking the community to ensure all students are ready for school by donating to their Back to School Supply Drive.
Now through August 8, organizers are asking people to drop off new items at any Leon County Public School or The Bloxham Building, located at 725 South Calhoun Street.
The following items are examples of needed back to school supplies:
- Backpacks
- Composition books
- Erasers
- Facial tissues
- Folders (pocket & prong)
- Glue sticks
- Hand sanitizer
- Highlighters
- Pencil boxes
- Ring binders (2" & 3")
- Rulers
LCS is also taking monetary contributions, which are tax deductible. They are asking people to make their check payable to: The Foundation for Leon County Schools (Notate on your check: Back to School Supply Drive).
