LEON CO., Fla. -- Leon County officials are encouraging teens and young adults to apply for the 2013 Youth Training Program, designed to allow students to get work experience in a real-world environment.
The program lasts six weeks and is open to participants between the ages of 14 and 21. Summer youth workers will have the opportunity to gain experience in a variety of locations throughout Leon County, including Public Works, EMS, Parks & Recreation and other departments and divisions.
There are 57 openings available, and positions will range from 20 to 25 hours per week and pay $7.79 per hour.
The program is scheduled from Monday, June 10 through Friday, July 19. The application deadline is Friday, April 26, at 5 p.m.
