LEON CO., Fla. (WTXL) - Today is America Recycles Day!
It's when millions of Americans work to bring awareness about the importance of recycling.
The Leon County Hazardous Waste Center wants to remind you that recycling isn't just for paper and plastic.
Hazardous waste is the flammable, corrosive, reactive, or toxic trash that threatens your health or the environment.
The Hazardous Waste Center, located on Apalachee Parkway, accepts your old batteries, computers, light bulbs, cleaners, and even oil.
You can drop off your materials at the recycling center Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
