TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Florida A&M University (FAMU) is opening up their campus to Florida State students.

FAMU says that FSU students will be able to use library services, study areas, food services and other venues to prepare for final exams and graduation.

They will just need to present their FSU student ID, and they will have access to any on-campus resources to help students carry on with their daily academic routines.

“We extend our thoughts and prayers to everyone impacted by the unfortunate event that occurred at FSU this morning,” Mangum said. “We stand ready and available to assist the students, staff, faculty, and administrators in any way we can. We all share the common goal of providing educational opportunities for our students and FAMU is committed to working with FSU during this unfortunate circumstance and throughout the academic year.”

This is following Thursday morning's shooting at the Strozier Library on FSU's campus. A lone gunman, identified by police as Myron May, an FSU graduate, opened fire, shooting three people. Three were injured. Police shot and killed May. The police officers involved have been placed on administrative leave as the investigation continues.
