TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Leon County Sheriff's Office is warning residents about possible scams related to the disaster in Texas.
They say to beware of fake charity websites, Facebook pages, or emails asking for donations to Hurricane Harvey relief funds.
They say if you want to make a donation, go to the website of the charity of your choice and make a donation, type the address in your browser or use a bookmark and do not click on any links in emails or text messages you might get.
