TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) – Two people were arrested after deputies say a traffic stop led them to find illegal weapons and drugs in their vehicle.

On Tuesday, Leon County Sheriff deputies were conducting a traffic stop on Ridge Road. Deputies say the driver told them that he didn't have a valid license and, after checking, they confirmed that the license was indeed suspended.

During the traffic stop, a K-9 Deputy conducted a drug sniff on the vehicle that came back positive, which led to deputies searching the vehicle.

Deputies say the driver, David Rigdon,30, was found in possession of multiple illegal guns. One passenger, 24-year-old Ashley Albert, was found in possession of crystal methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

According to LCSO, Rigdon was arrested and facing a series of charges including possession of a short barreled firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Albert was also arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both Rigdon and Albert were booked into the Leon County Detention Facility.

According to court documents, Albert has since bonded out.
