TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Leon County Sheriff Walt McNeil and Superintendent Rocky Hanna reflected on the south Florida tragedy while announcing plans to review strategies in light of the shooting.
Mcneil and Hanna met Friday morning at Fairview Middle School.
The sheriff said he's reached out to the Broward County Sheriff and will work with the Florida Sheriffs Association about school safety.
Every middle and high school in the district has a school resource officer.
McNeil said his deputies are committed to protecting students in and out of the classroom.
