TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Leon County Sheriff's Office is giving people who stop by their booth at the North Florida Fairgrounds the opportunity to try to win a $250 home protection system.

To become eligible to win the Doorbell Video System by Ring, people must complete three tasks, according to an LCSO Facebook post:

  • Follow LCSO on Facebook.
  • Take a selfie in LCSO's living room set.
  • Post the photo on LCSO's event page, not the LCSO main page.

After a deputy manning the booth verifies the completion of the tasks, you will complete an entry form for the drawing.

Entries can be made until Sunday, Nov. 12.

The LCSO booth is in the Marketplace Bldg., Exhibitor Hall #59.

The name of the winner will be drawn Monday, Nov. 13, via Facebook Live at 3pm. The winner will also be notified personally by phone call or email.

Deputies in the booth are telling fairgoers what they can do to protect their home and neighborhood at a time when the holidays are approaching and there is an uptick in residential burglaries. Some of their preventative strategies can be put in place at no cost.
