Tallahassee, Fla. (WTXL)--The Leon County Sheriff's Office is investigating break-ins at two Tallahassee schools.
The first happened at Deerlake Middle School, the other at Killearn Lakes Elementary.
School officials say the burglary alarms went off around 5 o' clock Friday morning.
Authorities say when they arrived on scene, the glass doors in both front offices were broken.
They say the crooks stole loose change from a desk drawer.
Just last month, stray bullets shattered windows of a school bus at Killearn Lakes Elementary.
School officials say while these are considered minor incidents, safety is their number one priority.
"We feel fully confident that we provide a safe place for all of our students. These are isolated incidents. The system worked as it should, our folks responded, The Leon County Sheriff's Office responded to both campuses. They are investigating it. We have video and at no time were students in harms way. And really, the day went as planned, Chris Petley."
Surveillance video of the two break-ins have been turned over to the Leon County Sheriff's Office.
