LEON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - The Leon County Sheriff's Office hosted their annual Barbecue for Heart Health on Friday.
The grill was fired up early Friday afternoon between LCSO's Administration Building and the health department.
There was a silent auction while the crowd enjoyed grilled chicken, pulled pork, beans and corn.
All proceeds from the tickets and silent auction went to the American Heart Association.
"It's been very busy i think its a record year for us as far as sales and action items we've gotten several donations to kick this off we wouldn't be able to do this with out our sponsors and people donating the food," said Robert Bethea with LCSO.
Friday's fun will go a long way toward heart health.
LCSO says they raised about $11,000 at Friday's event.
