LEON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - The Leon County Sheriff's Office is reminding residents to be safe during New Years Eve festivities.
LCSO Public Information Officer, Deputy Dave-Teems, said patrols will be out watching for drunk and impaired drivers.
Teems said when in doubt, call a friend or a ride-share service.
"We always want to make sure that if you're going to go out and have some alcohol, have a plan to get home. Have a designated driver, there are plenty of ride-share services that you can use or just have somebody there that can make sure you get to where you're going," said Teems.
Teems added that patrols will be out in specific areas to make sure everyone is safe for the New Year.
