TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A couple has been arrested after deputies found a large amount of meth and more than 10 stolen credit cards inside their car.
Karla Sinaloa, 20, and Christopher Hamlin, 34, were arrested on several drug charges. Additionally Sinaloa is facing charges selling meth and for the stolen cards.
Hamilin has also been charged for driving with a suspended license.
According to an arrest document, the Leon County Sheriff's Office was doing a proactive patrol on Apalachee Parkway Tuesday afternoon when they spotted a car with a stolen tag pull into a parking lot.
Deputies stopped the car and detained the driver, Hamlin, before approaching the passenger, identified as Sinaloa. An investigation revealed that Sinaloa had several outstanding warrants for her arrest.
After both were arrested, deputies searched the car.
LCSO says they found more than 30 grams of meth, 12 stolen credit cards, two stolen Florida drivers licenses, digital scales, drug paraphernalia, and Hydromorphone pills.
When deputies interviewed Sinaloa, she admitted that the meth belonged to her and Hamlin. She said that they cut the meth with another drug and planned on selling the drugs to make money.
She said that she and Hamiln had been dating for a month.
When deputies talked to Hamilin, however, he said that he knew Sinaloa had drugs but didn't know how much. He also stated that he knew his license was suspended.
Both were arrested and taken to the Leon County Jail.
