TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) A Tallahassee man was arrested on drug charges Friday after leading deputies on a chase and being involved in a hit-and-run crash.

Deandre Lamar Robinson, 29, was driving with an expired licensed plate when deputies noticed his vehicle at a gas station on North Monroe Street.

Robinson was driving a black charger with an expired licensed plate, when deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop.

Robinson failed to stop and a chase ensued on Old Bainbridge Road. Eventually the chase came to an end when Robinson crashed his car into a Silver Chrysler on South Ocala Road.

The driver and passenger of the Silver Chrysler both reported no injuries.

As the deputy approached the black charger, Robinson got out the car and started running away. After giving chase on foot, the deputy was able to detain Robinson in front of 100 Westwood Drive.

Inside Robinson's car, deputies found 13 plastic bags with a total of 12 grams of crack cocaine inside them.

Robinson has been charged with cocaine possession with intent to sell, leaving the scene of a crash, eluding police, driving with a suspended license, resisting an officer, and the possession of narcotics equipment.

Robinson was transported to the Leon County Detention Center on Friday.
