TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Leon County Sheriff's Office has arrested three people after searching their Woodville home and finding meth, fentanyl, and more than $1,000 in cash inside.
Misty Barnhill, 38, and Joshua Dickson, 37, were arrested by LCSO for selling and containing illegal drugs in their home. Eric Taylor, 43, was arrested for the possession of meth.
As a result of multiple undercover drug purchases at Barnhill's home on Roean Morgan Road, deputies carried out a search warrant on Barnhill's home on March 8. When deputies arrived they talked to Barnhill, Dickson, and Taylor.
The police report states that Dickson was Barnhill's live-in boyfriend.
Barnhill informed deputies that Taylor had been staying at her house for several days because they didn't have a home.
When speaking with deputies, Barnhill said there may be drugs in the home, but they belonged to her ex-boyfriend, who's currently in jail.
She said she was going to give the drugs back to her ex-boyfriend when he gets out of jail.
Barnhill told deputies that the drugs were in locked, black containers under her bed, but didn't know the amount inside.
She denied selling any type of illegal drugs, but after more questioning, she admitted that she recently started selling meth.
According to Barnhill, she did not have keys or access to the locked containers, including a small safe, that were found in her room.
Deputies were told Dickson had possession of one of the keys to the locked containers. When asked by deputies why he had a key to a container full of suspected illegal drugs, Dickson stated that Barnhill gave it to him.
He said he had the key to get rid of the drugs if something were to happen to Barnhill.
When asked what kinds of drugs were in the container, Dickson replied, "meth."
Before speaking with deputies, documents note Taylor was found to be in possession of meth in his pants pocket. During an interview, admitted he does smoke meth and marijuana, but does not sell it.
He stated he bought the meth found on him the night before from a different location.
After doing more digging, deputies found another key to the locked container in Barnhill's purse. When asked by deputies about it, Barnhill apologized for lying.
The boxes contained marijuana, used pipes, digital scales, BHO (Butane hash oil) prescription pills, morphine, and meth.
A small glass vial was also found which contained fentanyl.
The safe contained a loaded firearm, 40. caliber pistol, baggies, and meth. Deputies also found over $1,100 in cash in Barnhill's room.
On the floor of Barnhill's closet, deputies found another bag of meth. More meth and syringes were also found in Barnhill's bathroom.
According to police documents, there were more than 40 grams of meth, less than 20 grams of marijuana, and two grams of fentanyl found in the home.
A truck parked in the driveway of the home, which was registered to Dickson, was also searched by deputies. Inside the truck, deputies found two boxes of ammunition. Deputies also confirmed that Dickson was a convicted felon so he was prohibited from possessing ammo.
Barnhill later told deputies that the safe was brought to the house by Dickson to secure the drugs.
Barnhill was charged with two counts of sale of methamphetamine, trafficking in methamphetamine, maintaining a drug house, four counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis under 20 grams, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Taylor was charged with the possession of methamphetamine.
Dickson is facing the same charges as Barnhill plus the possession of ammo by a convicted felon.
