TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos toured two schools yesterday, neither of which were part of Leon County Schools.
Devos spent time Wednesday with the Florida Chamber and also visited the Bethel Family Life Center, though she didn't tour Bethel Christian Academy.
Nevertheless, it was another day in the Capital City without going to a traditional public school.
Hanna said DeVos missed an important opportunity.
"At the very least, give respect to all of us. Come see all of us. Come by my principals' meeting this morning -- for 5 minutes," asserted Hanna. "Five minutes and say, 'You know what? Thank you, guys. I value what you do. The President values what you do every day in serving 34,000 students -- and letting your teachers know that."
