TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Leon County Schools is responding to "sensationalized allegations" after a Lincoln High football player was caught with an "unauthorized person" in his room during an off campus trip.
While they confirmed that a Lincoln football player was found with an "unauthorized person" in his room while away on a college tour in June, they say there was no direct evidence of "sexual impropriety."
In fact, officials got word the "sensationalized allegations" came from a former employee. Still, the district says it's taking the allegations seriously.

A Lincoln Football player was found to have an unauthorized person in his room while away on a college tour in early June. Coach Quinn Gray contacted the player’s parents and reported the incident to the school’s administration.
The coach reports to have not seen any direct evidence of sexual impropriety. The student is not currently on the active roster for the football team.
While the school was aware of the situation, the district was alerted this morning after receiving word of sensationalized allegations from a former employee. The district take’s these allegations seriously and have been in communication with school administrators throughout the day.
