TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Leon County School members are meeting this week to discuss the possibility of bringing a siren/speaker campus alert notification system to the Rickards High School campus.
They say the system would allow the school to communicate with students if a "critical incident" happened on campus.
It would alert staff, students, and even parents of the emergency situation.
They say a need for the system was identified in a vulnerability assessment.
LCS is applying for a grant to fund the $50,000 project.
