Law enforcers patrol land and water

MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL)--Law enforcers across Georgia are patrolling both land and water for drunk boaters and drivers.

It's part of the Operation Zero Tolerance campaign that runs now through July 7.

A new boating under the influence law is in effect making .08 the legal blood alcohol limit.

Now that's the same limit for drivers out on the roads. According the Governor's Office of Highway Safety, in the last two years, the state has averaged 88 alcohol related crashes from July 3-5.  Law enforcers are trying to reverse the trend.
