TALLAHASSEE, Fla.-- A memorial service honored two fallen law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty last year.

The march wound through downtown Tallahassee Monday morning, and ended with a service at the capitol courtyard.

At the service, officers, families and state leaders spoke on behalf of the fallen officers, honoring their service to their communities.

Monday, Tallahassee Mayor, Andrew Gillum spoke about why law enforcement should be honored saying, "For the work that your loved ones do that the law enforcement officials here represented do everyday and to stand in the gap of our communities to put themselves in harms way, sometimes knowingly other times unknowingly, to make sure that our communities stay safe".
