TALLAHASSEE, FL. (WTXL) - The City of Tallahassee is working to expand the St. Marks trail further into Tallahassee.
Commissioners have worked with the Zimmer Development Company to acquire the last bit of land to make it a reality.
The company is purchasing land near Gaines Street and has agreed to set aside a few hundred feet of land that will connect with two portions of easement the city has already set aside for trail expansion.
Funding for the trail expansion will be discussed during the July budget hearings to try and get it funded in the next fiscal year.
