TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - Lafayette Street has been seeing some improvements recently, and now, the work is completed.
Leon County administrators announced Tuesday that $5 million project is finished. This includes improvements to the roadway, improved sidewalks and added landscaping, stormwater improvements, turn lanes, and other safety measures.
In a release, the county says that "Lafayette Street is a major corridor and gateway that leads to Cascades Park, one of Leon County's and Tallahassee's crown jewels."
