LAFAYETTE COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Lafayette County's Senior Center being honored.
The Florida Public Service awarding the center this July with Helping Hands Recognition.
The center, located in Mayo, offers a wide variety of educational programs, support groups, and special events and recently helped the public service commission provide beneficial information to their clients.
Each month, the Public Service Commission highlights a partner agency or organization whose clients can benefit from learning how to reduce energy and water bills, how to protect themselves against utility-related scams, and how to apply for the federal lifeline program.
