TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - Kohl's announced Wednesday that it will be closing one of its Tallahassee locations.
According to the retailer, the store on Thomasville Road will close for good on June 19. The location was one of 18 stores which the company called "underperforming".
Kohl's said in a press release that the stores that are closing made up less than one percent of their total sales.
On average, Kohl's stores employ 80-100 associates. Eligible employees will have the opportunity to either move to a nearby Kohl's or take a severance package.
The Thomasville location is one of two Florida locations being closed, in addition to three locations in Georgia.
