MARIETTA, Ga. (WTXL) After a securing his place in the GOP primary runoff last month, Rep. Jack Kingston has picked up another ex-rival's endorsement.

Rep. Phil Gingrey announced his support for Kingston at an event in Marietta on Wednesday.  Kingston beat Gingrey in the May 20 GOP Primary, securing his spot in a July 22 runoff election against former Dollar General CEO David Perdue.

Karen Handel, who placed behind Kingston and ahead of fourth-ranked Gingrey in the primary, has also endorsed Kingston.  The winner of the July 22 runoff will face Democrat Michelle Nunn in the November election.

The winner of that race takes the US Senate seat being vacated by Senator Saxby Chambliss.
