JEFFERSON Co., FL (WTXL) - Three people were killed and five others injured after a pick-up truck driving east on I-10 crossed the median and collided with two westbound vehicles according to the Highway Patrol.
Officers say the crash happened around 12:15 p.m., Wednesday afternoon near mile marker 228.
According to Officers, a pick-up truck was traveling eastbound when it changed lanes and hydroplaned. The driver lost control and traveled across the median hitting two cars in the eastbound lanes.
Benjamin Bartlett and two children Bailey, age 9, and Charles, age 11, from Cedar Falls, Iowa, were all killed in the crash. FHP says two other passengers were taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Officers say three passengers from the pick-up truck were also taken to the hospital. No one from the third vehicle were seriously injured.
