BONIFAY, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say two people are dead following a weekend rollover crash in the Florida Panhandle.

The Florida Highway Patrol reports that 39-year-old Mary Elizabeth Sewell and 29-year-old Joshua Moore were ejected from an SUV early Sunday morning. The Panama City News Herald reports that troopers weren't immediately sure who was driving.

FHP says the SUV was attempting to pass another vehicle on a county road near Bonifay when it lost control and went into a ditch. The SUV overturned several times before coming to a rest.

Sewell and Moore were pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. Officials say neither of the victims was wearing a seat belt.
