TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- The roundabout at Killarney Way and Shamrock Street will be closed to traffic starting Monday, April 8.
Detours around the area will be posted. Motorists will be detoured using Killarney Plaza Drive, Cavan Drive, Donegal Drive, Ross Common Drive, Shamrock Street and Foley Drive. The closure, which is expected to last about three months, comes as part of a stormwater improvement project. The primary goal is to reduce the frequency and severity of flooding in and around the roundabout intersection of Killarney Way and Shamrock Street. Work also includes improving surface water quality by expanding the existing stormwater management facility (holding pond) in the Kenmare Commons subdivision off Killarney Way.
The work at the roundabout is part of the final phase of the stormwater improvement project.
