MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) - Keeping our seniors cool; that's the goal of Elder Care Services upcoming fan drive.

Abby Cooke and Josie Fliger joined in studio with the details:

In partnership with Garnet & Gold, Elder Care Services will host an ongoing fan drive during the months of June, July, August, and September.

The 2018 Keep Seniors Cool Fan Drive is dedicated to reducing the health and wellness risks posed to seniors who may not otherwise have a way to escape Tallahassee's characteristic summer heat and humidity.

This summer, Elder Care aims to collect and distribute over 500 fans in the Tallahassee community, an operation whose success continues to depend on the generosity of the community.

Donate box fans & financial gifts at Elder Care Services, Inc. (2518 W Tennessee St., Tallahassee FL)

Donate box fans at Garnet & Gold (three locations):

  • Village Square: 1400 Village Square Blvd #11
  • Governor's Square: 1504 Governors Square Blvd
  • FSU: 1001 W Pensacola St
