TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Kearney Center employees are getting their ovens ready and meals prepared for Thursday's Thanksgiving feast.

Employees and volunteers at the Kearney Center will open their doors Thursday to the Big Bend community to serve dinner to those in need. The staff is expecting over 400 people to arrive for a meal.

All of the food served came from donations from local organizations and the staff is nothing but grateful.

"Thank you to everybody who's helped out with this Thanksgiving 2018. From Salvation Army to the Big Bend Homeless Coalition," said Dallas Terry, Supervisor of Operations at the Kearney Center. "Everyone who has helped donate food. It really means a lot to us and helps us give back to the community."

Dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m. Thursday. For those still wanting to volunteer, employees said to arrive at 5:00 p.m.
