TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The trial of the man accused of killing his girlfriend and her three young children continues Wednesday with jury selection.

Henry Segura is accused of killing Brandi Peters and her three young children.

The defense spent several hours questioning the first group of jurors, going over everything from gun rights to law enforcement.

What started with around 20 was cut to just seven people who will return Wednesday.

Group two was brought in Tuesday afternoon.

The same process as before continues, with the field being narrowed based on what people know about the case and if they can commit to serving for the whole trial.

Meanwhile, people are still waiting to learn more about former gang member James Santos. Santos was to have a mental health evaluation to determine if he's competent to testify.

Opening arguments will be scheduled once jury selection is complete.
