SUWANNEE Co., FL (WTXL) - Jury selection was Monday in Suwannee County in the murder trial of a woman accused of stabbing and killing her best friend.
Casey Cason is accused of killing Alaina Szortyka back in July of 2015.
Police say the incident happened outside of Cason's home on 5th Street in Live Oak when the two friends got into an argument.
Cason was indicted on second degree armed murder charges a month later.
The trial is expected to begin Tuesday at 8:30.
