VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - A judge is recusing himself from the case of a Lowndes County teen, who was found dead in the Lowndes County High School gymnasium.
Judge Harry Jay Altman II, sent a letter to the attorneys in the case regarding Kendrick Johnson.
In it he says, like himself, the other judges agreed they should and will recuse themselves as well, because the judges’ deal with officials who are involved everyday.
The letter from Judge Altman states, quote, “While I had hoped that at least the preliminary matters would be dealt with through our informal mediation, I do not see that happening."
