TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A judge granted a request to remove the Florida State hazing death case, involving three of the suspects, from the court docket.

Attorneys for Anthony Petagine, Anthony Oppenheimer and Luke Kluttz all made the request after the judge granted the state's motion last month to pause until the First District Court of Appeals acts.

That means the trial originally set to begin next Monday will be postponed.

The three defendants along with six others are accused in the hazing death of Pi Kappa Phi Pledge Andrew Coffey last November.

Five of the suspects accepted the state's plea deal and are serving jail time.
