TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A panel finds that Judge Jackie Fulford is incapable of performing her duties as a circuit court judge.
According to court documents, they are recommending she retires because of a permanent disability that they say seriously interferes with the performance of her job.
The judge has been on medical leave since April of this year to be treated for the disability.
Fulford has been in the spotlight before. Back in April, a notice of formal charges were filed against the judge.
Those charges claimed she showed a pattern of misconduct, including telling court employees they could not work for her if they voted for David Harvey for Sheriff of Wakulla County.
