QUINCY, Fla. (WTXL) - A judge dismisses a voting recall petition filed against a Quincy City Commissioner.
On Monday, Judge Charles Francis denied a recall petition regarding City Commissioner Micah Brown. The judge found that there was no basis for the recall.
Petitioners claim that Commissioner Brown practiced unethical behavior while in office. Brown was elected to the City Commission in 2013.
According to a Quincy resident, the petition was signed by over 200 citizens. Gadsden County Commissioner Sherrie Taylor tells us that residents were given inaccurate information to sign the petition.
An appeal by the Recall Committee was filed Monday evening following the dismissal decision.
