TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The FAMU community came together Tuesday night to remember the life of a student killed in a car crash.

Friends and family took turns speaking about their wonderful memories of Jovonte' Davis.

Davis died early in the morning on July 20 after a crash on Thomasvile Road and Hermitage Boulevard.

Davis' younger brother says he was an outstanding person

"He loved everyone. He came around quiet. He was a cool person," he said. "He got along with everyone. He was just a nice guy."

Davis was taking summer classes at FAMU and pursing a degree in business administration.
