Joseph Walsh charged with 1st Degree Felony Murder in death of baby Chance

SARASOTA, Fla. -- Joseph Walsh, the father of murdered North Port baby Chance, has been extradited from South Carolina and is now being held at the Sarasota County Jail.

According to a report from the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office, Detectives have charged Walsh with 1st Degree Felony Murder in the death of Baby Chance. Walsh arrived at the Sarasota County Jail at Noon today. He is currently being held on one count of Child Neglect with a $150,000 bond and one count of 1st Degree Felony Murder without bond.

The Sheriff's Office also released video of Walsh being booked into the jail, which you can watch here.

The Public Defender’s office has indicated they want to waive Walsh’s presence at first appearance tomorrow.
