JEFFERSON CO., Fla. (WTXL) - A 23 year old is dead, following an accident this morning in Jefferson County.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, Jose Hernandez, 20, was driving on US 90 around 6:50 this morning, when he lost control of his pickup truck and hit a tree.
The impact from the crash caused the truck to overturn and hit a second tree.
The passenger, Robert Croft, died on the scene. Hernandez is in serious condition at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
FHP says Croft was not wearing a seat belt. They are looking into whether the accident was alcohol related.
