TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - An award-winning journalist was in Tallahassee on Sunday to share an insider's perspective on some of the biggest national and international events in recent history.
Jeff Goldman has covered every president since Ronald Reagan. He's also traveled with Hillary Clinton and Colin Powell during his career. Those experiences are part of what he shared during a visit to Tallahassee.
On Sunday, the Emmy Award-winning producer and reporter talked about his career to help kick off fundraising this year for the Tallahassee Jewish Federation.
The federation uses that money to host charity events and donate to causes.
Goldman said he hopes people get a better idea of what it’s like to be with some of the most powerful people in the world.
"I like to give them insight about the presidents, what they are like behind the scenes and what it is like to cover some of these huge stories whether they are election stories or wars in the Middle East. I have covered major stories for the past 4 decades, some of the biggest stories of our time so it’s very interesting to talk to these groups," said Goldman.
The Tallahassee Jewish Federation hopes to raise over $100,000 in 2019.
