JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Police say a teenager died after being shot multiple times at a Jacksonville bus stop.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says the boy was standing at a bus stop Wednesday morning in the city's Grand Park neighborhood when he was shot.

The Florida Times-Union (http://bit.ly/12uc5CS ) reports that the Grand Park neighborhood has seen a rash of shootings this year.

Authorities did not release the victim's name, but neighborhood residents told the newspaper that the boy attended Raines High School.

The victim was standing with other teens when the shots rang out, sending the group scrambling for cover.

Sheriff's Sgt. Craig Waldrup says the investigation is ongoing, and no other injuries were reported.

Duval County School District spokeswoman Tia Ford says psychologists and social workers are available to help students.
