JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say a Jacksonville police officer fatally shot a man during a traffic stop.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office reports that the officer stopped a vehicle Monday evening for an expired tag. The vehicle's driver, 33-year-old Leonardo Marquette Little, told the officer that he didn't have a driver's license, and the officer eventually determined that Little had a suspended license.

Officials say Little pushed the officer away while he was being handcuffed and tried to strike the officer. As Little tried to flee on foot, authorities say the officer shot Little with a Taser stun gun. After a struggle, Little got the stun gun away from the officer. The officer again ordered Little to stop, and when Little didn't, the officer fired at least two shots, killing Little

The Florida Times-Union (http://goo.gl/GDW2Pu ) reports that Little's criminal record includes arrests for battery, resisting police, assault and fighting.
