JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Two law enforcement departments responds to a traffic stop after the suspects lead officers on a foot chase.
Around 8:30pm Saturday night, deputies with the Jackson County Sheriff's office responded to the area of River and Paramore roads, in reference to a suspicious person.
When deputies arrived they spotted an older model Buick driving on the road, swerving from lane to lane. Deputies attempted to pull the car over, but 2 suspects got out the car and started running. Officers from Sneads Police Department then responded to assist deputies in the search of the suspects.
They were able to catch Sylvester Calvin Mitchell. According to police, Mitchell said he ran because his license was suspended and that he was on probation in the Georgia. Mitchell is being charged with fleeing and attempting to elude and driving with a suspended license.
