JACKSON COUNTY, FL. (WTXL)-- A missing juvenile has drowned in Jackson County off of Flynt Drive, Saturday afternoon after multiple attempts at resuscitation.
The 17 year old was found in Merritts Mill Pond and was unresponsive. After an adult had the boy and performed CPR, deputies issued a emergency response. A Deputy arrived and tried to revive the boy and he was handed over to EMS and transported to Jackson Hospital.
The juvenile then passed away at the medical center. The event appears to be accidental and no charges are pending, according to Jackson County Sheriff's Office. However, an investigation is ongoing.
