JACKSON COUNTY, FL (WTXL) - A man Jackson County deputies were searching for Wednesday has been found and arrested.
Authorities say James Daniel Sergel was arrested after 8 p.m. Wednesday night.
Deputies obtained a search warrant for Sergel Wednesday and had been actively searching for him.
Sergel is accused of sexual battery of his son's 15-year-old girlfriend.
Investigators say the 17-year-old son brought the girl to his father's house on June 22 where Sergel bought the teens alcohol.
The 15-year-old eventually passed out and according to investigators, Sergel forced the unconscious teen to perform oral sex on him. The 17-year-old is said to have tried to stop Sergel before he was thrown outside of the home.
He was eventually able to get back inside the home where he says he believes he witnessed another assault on the girl, says authorities.
He was able to recover the 15-year-old and leave the house where they reported the incident to deputies.
