MARIANNA, FL (WTXL) - Jackson County Deputies are looking for a suspect in an arson at the county courthouse this afternoon. The suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
The sheriff's office says there was a small fire inside of one of the courtrooms. Marianna Fire Rescue and the Jackson County Fire Rescue responded to the scene. The fire was extinguished and resulted in no injuries. The courthouse was evacuated.
The State Fire Marshal has determined it to be an arson. Deputies have issued an first-degree arson warrant for the arrest of Leonard Benard Wright. The 42-year-old is known to drive a 1995 White Ford Econoline Van, with a ladder rack and a Florida Tag 317PU.
According to the sheriff's office, Wright is a Jackson County resident and is still believed to be in the area. He is considered to be armed and dangerous.
