Jackson Co. deputies warn local businesses about counterfeit money

JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - The Jackson County Sheriff's Office is warning local businesses to be careful after a documented increase of counterfeit money in the area.

JCSO says that since the beginning of 2017, they have seen an influx of counterfeit money being passed through various businesses and banks.

While investigators try to find where the money is coming from, the Sheriff's Office says they felt the need to alert the businesses and consumers about the counterfeit bills as well provide them with the counterfeit serial numbers.

Below are the serial numbers that are being used on the counterfeit bills which range from $20 to $100:
