TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - FAMU officials have confirmed that Jackie Pons will be working at FAMU DRS as a school development officer.
Officials say that he was hired on Tuesday.
As a development officer, Pons would act as an advisor to the superintendent, develop plans for securing school donations, and organize a variety of activities.
This comes after Florida State University confirmed that Pons resigned from his position as a business analyst in the Office of Admissions. The salary was $50,000.
When asked for comment, Pons' said that the position was a job he accepted to move forward and he is looking for a job in either the public or private sector.
His salary in the position at FAMU DRS is $50,000.
