PENSACOLA, Fla. (AP) - Florida Department of Law Enforcement investigators have started reviewing about 2,600 drug cases that could have been compromised by an employee of the agency's Pensacola crime lab.

State Attorney Bill Eddins says criminal charges will likely be filed against the employee sometime this week.  Investigators suspect the man of stealing prescription narcotics seized as evidence in numerous cases handled by the lab.

Authorities say the man replaced the narcotics with over-the-counter drugs.
