JACKSON COUNTY, FL (WTXL) - Investigators are looking into a report of a female body found lying in a yard on Thursday.
The Jackson County Sheriff's Office said they received a 911 call around 7:15 p.m. from a resident on Cemetery Avenue in Jackson County. The caller told police that they came home and found a female body laying in the yard.
An initial investigation determined that the woman, later identified as 43-year-old Stacy Shaw of Grand Ridge, died from an unknown cause.
Deputies said the homeowner didn't now the identity of the woman.
Preliminary autopsy results do not show any signs of foul play, though deputies said the investigation is ongoing.
