QUITMAN, Ga. (WTXL) - In Brooks County, Quitman Police are working with several groups to put together an upcoming internet safety workshop.
The workshop is a collaboration between the Police Department and the ECHOES Afterschool Program, Brooks County Schools, Brooks County Family Connection and Brooks County Victim Assistance.
They are hoping to inform parents and other community members about the importance of protecting children and young people from predators on social media, cyber bullying, and other internet safety topics.
Local law enforcement officers will present the information to adults, so they can teach their children how to avoid becoming a victim on the internet.
There will be two sessions both on March 24. The first will be at 11:30 a.m. at the Ag building and the second at 6:00 p.m. in the Brooks County Middle School Cafeteria.
